The holy city Varanasi

The city of temples, the city of jetties (ghats), the city of spiritualism, the city of lord Shiva, Varanasi grabs the attention of the visitors in all aspects. If I talk about the name of this city, so it has three names Kashi, Banaras, Varanasi. Kashi is the ancient name of Varanasi its description can still be found in our ancient books. It is called Varanasi as it is situated at the mid of Varuna and Assi river consequently it was called Varanasi.

There are so many places which are very famous here. Some of the places like Sarnath, Durga temple, Sankat Mochan, Rani Laxmi Bai memorial, Banaras Hindu university, there are 84 ghats which can be visited by boat. The site of the Ganga in the evening and morning is alluring. In the evening it seems, as if someone  scattered stars on the water of the Ganga when people offer earthen to Goddess Ganga.

In the morning also the view of the Ganga appears eye catching crowded with visitors, priests, as well as tourists.

Food Of Varanasi

  

If we talk about cuisine so there is no match of the taste of Varanasi food as compare to other city. If you visit Varanasi you can enjoy kachauri, Sabji and Jalebi which is the breakfast of here. You can find the shop of it every nook and cranny. Golgappe and Tikki they are very tasty here. Nowadays people are preparing South Indian and Chinese dishes as well in desi style.
